About

  • Whitman College is made up of 8 residential halls and 1 community hall and is situated around 2 courtyards.
    Wendell Hall is located on the northwest side of the college.
    It runs around the west and south sides of the upper courtyard and the north side of the lower courtyard.
    It is divided into Wendell B and C, with Wendell B running along the west side of the upper courtyard, and Wendell C on the south side of the upper courtyard / north side of lower courtyard.
    Wendell Hall has 5 levels.

Getting Inside

  • Entrances are signed as 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5C.
  • Entrance 5C gives step-free access to the Class of 1963 Library study area, and also the college offices via 8 steps with handrails.

Getting Around

  • There is step-free level access throughout the building via the elevator, with the exception of the College Offices, which are accessed by 8 steps with handrails both sides, located just inside Entrance 5C.
  • Floor surfaces along all circulation routes are hard and smooth with a shiny finish.
  • There are no resting areas available in the accommodation areas of the hall.
